I was simply talking about my experiences in the American pagan community. and sadly, yes, you can find prejudice anywhere, even there. But our "official beliefs" as much as there are any, accept all people as they are, and that included homosexuality. Hi Karen, I have never found a coven that is "filled with lesbians." As I mentioned, my step-daughter is gay, and she is in my coven. But my first group didn't have a lesbian, although there was a gay guy for a while :-) Hi William,

Homosexuality is not always accepted by all Pagans. In general, yes, it is a good rule of thumb, but it doesn't apply for every Pagan. Also, not all historical Pagan cultures found homosexuality acceptable, the Germans and Celts, for example, used to see it as a grave offense and would sentence homosexual to death. Just wanted to point out that there is a great deal of diversity of views within the vague, amorphous term "Pagan." I just wanted to point out a bit of a more balanced view.
