0d90321cEllen DeGeneres who you may remember from Finding Nemo as Dory or from her talk show that plays daily. She has just signed on to play Mother Nature in a new comedy from Walden Media.

The movie is being produced by the same company that put out” The Chronicles of Narnia”. The movie to be written by Jenny Bicks who co-executive produced and wrote Sex and the City tv series is to start filming sometime in the summer. Jenny’s exec’s Michael and Evan turner well be overseeing the project through out till its completion.

We have not seen DeGeneres  on the big screen for quite some time this will be a nice change. With her in the movie I’m sure it will be a hoot!

As said by DeGeneres in an interview about the movie:

“I’ve always wanted to control the weather,’ DeGeneres said. “Nothing will stop me from doing this…neither rain, nor snow, nor sleet… I may be thinking of the postal service but I’m really excited about the movie.”
