Westboro Baptist Church to Protest Natasha Richardson’s Funeral
The Phelps Klan and the Westboro Baptist Church are at it again, this time they plan to protest actress Natasha Richardson’s funeral because they blame Richardson for supporting research to find a cure for AIDS.
Ms. Richardson died Wednesday at Lenox Hill Hospital in Manhattan as the result of a brain injury after she fell during a ski lesson at a ski resort in Canada.
Ms. Richardson had been a trustee of the amfAR foundation for Aids research since 2006 and in November 2000, she was honored with amfAR’s Award of Courage. Her father, the British film director Tony Richardson, died of AIDS-related causes in 1991.
On their website, the group says this about both Richardson and her family….

Hence her avid support of AIDS research. There you have it, and that is what these disgusting perverts from DOOMED america, Cancerous Canada and Ultra-filthy UK are just going bonkers over. A dead simple slut who did not have enough sense to put on the helmet (it will muss my hair), then when she DID fall and hit her head, she was WAY TOO PROUD to get help (it might be embarrassing)! LGR contacted the Dutchess County Sheriff’s Office and the New York State Police this morning… who say they are completely ready for the Westboro nut balls.

However, reports we have received from Millbrook, NY, located about an hour and a half drive upstate of New York City where Richardson’s funeral will be held, say the neighbors there are none to thrilled about Phelps and company showing up in their town, but are saying that they plan to restrain any counter protests of Westboro out of respect for Ms Richardson family.
Saturday, her husband, actor Liam Neeson, and the couple’s two sons, aged 12 and 13, led the mourners at the American Irish Historical Society in Manhattan. Richardson’s mother, Oscar-winning actress Vanessa Redgrave, her sister, Nip/Tuck star Joely Richardson, and niece Daisy Bevan were also present for Ms. Richardson’s wake.
New York’s theater district turned also down its lights on Thursday night, as a mark of respect for Richardson.
Natasha Richardson joined amfAR’s board of trustees in September 2006. Most recently she was a featured speaker at the Foundation’s annual New York Gala fundraiser on February 12, 2009. A dedicated AIDS advocate, Ms. Richardson generously contributed her time and resources to amfAR over more than 15 years. In 1999, she spearheaded Unforgettable: Fashion of the Oscars, an auction of Oscar dresses that raised more than $1.5 million for AIDS research.
Said amfAR CEO Kevin Robert Frost, “Our hearts go out to Natasha’s family… This is a catastrophic loss for them, and it’s a terrible loss for amfAR and the fight against AIDS. She will be greatly missed by the HIV/AIDS community worldwide.”

your so right…these people are rignorant. the bible says “but God commendeth his love towards us in that while we were yet sinners christ died for us.” these people preach a picture of christ as contentious..when in reality he is a loving, holy, all-powerful God look at john 3:16 who will pour judgement out as he sees fit. He doesnt need pitiful sinners saved by grace to do his judgement for him. HE!!!!! will decide on judgement day what was lawful and what was unjust…we do not have the power to unrighteaously”look at the book of daniel” they unrighteaously judged daniel and soforth were put into the lions den.

One year ago this week, these same “people” protested six funerals in Iowa City, Iowa. A family died at the hands of the father, who was under considerable legal and financial stress, and ultimately suffering a most terrible form of depression. Through the most meager of threads, this group attempted to link the deaths to tolerance and openness toward sexuality.
They are naught but publicity whores, seeking to despoil whatever they can, for the sole purpose of media coverage.
Well, there are elements of truth in what they are saying. The problem is that the vast majority of people do not get it.
Conversely, if the vast majority of people are not getting it… maybe that in itself should tell you somethng about these “truths”.
I’m just waiting for the day some experienced computer hacker breaks into Phelps’ bank account, steals every last penny and give it to those in need like AIDS benefits or charity. That’s what I would do if I was an experienced computer hacker.
there is no truth in the claim that God hates sinners. he hates the sin. the only truth is that without Jesus we have death and with Him we have eternal life, and they decide to leave that little snippet out. they are ridiculous and full of crap.
Jessica, God does condemn people to Hell who are sinners who willfully sin and who do not repent. Homosexuality is an abomination to God and those who support sin against God love people more than God…..Jesus said to love your God with all of your heart and soul. This means YOU follow God and do what he says, even if it conflicts with what MEN say is right. You sound confused about the bible….Read it.
This is the same group that also pickets the funeral of service members that have died in Iraq or Afghanistan. I do know that if I wasn’t already a Christian and I saw that group as my first exposer to Christians and they way they are supposed to act I would have turned and ran the other way and never became one. I can only imagine how many people he is driving away from God!

In my studies I’ve found that what the bible says on that paper it’s printed on and what it REALLY means can be worlds apart. It amazed me how much more I could get out of the books in the bible if I researched WHO Wrote It, WHERE Did They Write It, WHEN Did They Write It, WHY did they write it, Who was the Intended Audience and What was the Status of the Nation of Israel when it was written. These 6 simple items can open up the book in ways I’d have never guessed. The bible is like an many layered onion.

In the beginning of this earth, I created it from a dark void. I hovered over the waters of the deep and formed this planet.
I spoke it into being. In six steps; I made this Earth.
