actually, i am more offended by the God Bless !
marriage is a state between two people, not “GOD” or a bit of paper saying so…
but on the separation of church and state… the state of California needs to rethink its land use laws if a business which promotes religion or religious belief, is allowed a license to operate a “public” business then they need to conform to the regulations that prevent them from being a private club for religious groups. in simpler terms – if they are to be (or become) a church promoting religious. or God viewpoints, then they need to be recognized as such to the general public. which means they cannot receive any state funding or backing in ANY capacity… including land use tax breaks for businesses. it would be unconstitutional (that’s why it was removed from our monetary system). they would need to re-file as a religious organization.
just thinking out-loud about ALL the religions in the world which hold the belief of polytheism — and since the US constitution guarantees freedom from religious persecution AND prevents the promotion of any one religion over another…. then Christianity or any religious belief of ONE god is NOT allowed in ANY capacity by ANY company receiving federal funds or tax benefits. its the law.

Expressing your views of what you believe in is important.
However the view or belief in question is one of a condemning nature.
I (as a raging homosexual) do believe that same sex marriage should be allowed and i am allowed to express that view.
However the difference between me and Rimming Forest Depot is that i know that it would not be correct of me to express a view that belittles a group of people.

Lesa mentioned the word “equal.” Let’s talk about that…

Gays want to get married to each other. *tick
Hetrosexuals want to get married each other. *tick
Gays cannot. *cross
Hetrosexuals can. *tick
When a Gay expresses their view on this, they do not wish to stop Hetrosexual marriages. *tick
When a Hetrosexual expresses their view on this, they are clearly pointing Gays out as inadequate. *cross

That’s two ticks and one cross each!
I guess that’s equal… right Lesa?

Why is it considered “homophobic” for someone to express what they believe about marriage? If you are allowed to express your opinions, then we are allowed to express ours. There’s a tremendous double-standard out there that isn’t allowing both sides to equally express their convictions. And that’s not right.

Fantastic I will have to go get gas there next time I am in the area. I think I will get the expensive super unleaded.

In case you Californians don’t know the vote on Prop 8 showed the sentiments of the majority of your fellow Californians. The receipt just echoes that sentiment.

I think they would be pleased if the homosexuals stayed away from their store. It seems like a wonderful, and legal way to keep them out of his store. You certainly can’t put up a ‘no homosexuals’ sign, but you can stir them up so much that they boycott your store.

A brilliant plan indeed.

“Please go here… http://lezgetreal.com/?p=9503 and look at this image! It is a receipt from this gas station with a homophobic statement on it! This is unacceptable! There is no legitimate reason to have this on the receipt! This is hate for the sake of hate! BOYCOTT this gas station!!!!!!!!”
