Rick Warren Says He Never Endorsed Prop 8
Are you kidding me?
Rick Warren was on the Larry King show last night and stated that he never endorsed Prop 8 and that he never compared homosexuality to incest or pedophilia. How is this guy able to be one of the nation’s most influential Evangelist and yet bold face lie time and time again.
By the way I got a real kick out of the viewers comments at the bottom of the screen.
Does he think our memories are that short that we would forget this.
If that isn’t an endorsement I don’t know what is. He says he supports Prop 8 and asks his followers to vote yes on Prop 8.
He must have also forgotten this interview where he clearly equates homosexuality with incest and pedophilia.
Does Rick Warren not understand these things stay on the internet? Does he think people are that stupid? I am outraged at his lies. Just because he didn’t show up to an organizational meeting for Yes on Prop 8 does not mean he never endorsed it nor does it not mean that he isn’t an anti-gay activist. Also, he says only gay leaders that don’t know him were condoning his statements and that none of the leaders that knew him were upset. I didn’t see anyone standing up for him. My guess is none of the gay leaders that know him had an issue because there aren’t any gay leaders that know him.
I am so done with Rick Warren and his lying.

He is such a liar, and lying is actually a sin! Love is not a sin. And where does he get the 2% figure for the population of gays and lesbians? There is no way to measure that, there is more than he thinks and he’s just trying to pretend they don’t exist. Aren’t his gay friends insulted by this?
Actually, the most comprehensive study to date puts long term homosexual behavior at less that 1% of the American population. Rick is not lying as far as I can see. Just because he recommended to his church to vote yes on Prop 8 does not make him an endorser of the proposition. I think you are just reading into this so you can call him a liar and put him in a bad light. It doesn’t work for me.
Yeah we get it… the old I supported prop 8 before I didn’t support it defense… so technically he is not lying.
and your numbers are wrong… the most recent comprehensive study to date puts the gay population at 7 to 10% of all Americans.
Why is it everyone who seems to have a problem with gay marriage also seems to a a terrible time with facts and truth as well?
WM in CA, You are an absolute idiot. If someone recommends that their congergation vote yes on any proposition, THAT IS AN ENDORSEMENT. Where in California do you live that you think homosexuals make up less than 1% of the population? Could it be Orange County? Get your head out of you ass. You are a hater and you make me sick.
The definition of endorse is “to support, to back, to give one’s approval to.” He states, “I support proposition 8.” He also says he never gave a statement then says he sent a note to his members. He also made that video.
He clearly should have checked his facts before commenting on this on Larry King.
Why do those who want to discriminate against homosexuals justify that by claiming, well there aren’t that many of them anyhow. That makes it OK? What say we try a few substitutions to see how this logic works in general: I’m only hurting/maiming/robbing/killing a few people. I’m curious if you also think all of the above are OK, provided you only do it to “a few” people.
