Kutcher Goes To Washington

Over the weekend many people headed to the White House Corespondents Dinner. We have seen the jokes Wanda Sykes and President Obama made that night. But what you may have missed was Aston Kutcher getting used to life in Washington D.C. and improving his lobbying skills. Ashton Kutcher is known as the King of Twitter. He was the first person to reach 1,000,000 followers. This became a big deal when he made it a competition with CNN to see who would get there first.

By winning the contest Kutcher made a statement that more people are interested in what he has to say over a major news outlet. People have more and more options of where to get there information and mainstream media is having trouble keeping up. Kutcher takes his tweeting seriously. Not only does he promote his movies but he uses it to create social change. He and Demi have raised money and purchased nets to fight malaria. They also try to bring awareness to the problem of human traficking. This is the issue they brought to the White House Correspondents Dinner. Here are the tweets Ashton sent that night.

Nice job Ashton for taking your message to Washington. It is good for everyone to see you there working on issues. This is a nice way to gain momentum for your campaign against Rep. Steve King. Showing Iowa you understand how to make connections and get issues heard is a great thing to highlight.
