Rule Britannia… Michael Savage Banned from Entering UK
Shock-jock Michael Savage and founder of Rockstar Energy Drink today needs add a new item to his list of accomplishments… he has been officially banned from entering the United Kingdom for preaching hate.
Seems the British Home Secretary, Jacqui Smith, was not very impress with Savage saying that gays should get HIV and die and claiming that the “homosexual mafia” is “raping our children’s minds”, that Muslims should be hung from lamp posts with their guts hanging out and that autistic kids are just spoiled brats who need to be told to knock it off, because she has put Savage on the same list as a former Grand Wizard of the Ku Klux Klan, and the Rev. Fred Phelps and daughter Shirley, who are no longer welcome in Britannia.
The Home Secretary stated that naming Savage as a hater and banning him from the country enabled people to see the sort of unacceptable behavior the Brits are not willing to have in their country.
“Coming to this country is a privilege. We won’t allow people into this country who are going to propagate the sort of views… that fundamentally go against our values,” Ms Smith said.
Among the notable names also joining Savage as persona non gratis in Britain are Artur Ryno and Pavel Skachevsky, the former leaders of a violent Russian skinhead gang, which committed 20 racially motivated murders, American neo-Nazi Erich Gliebe, and Hezbollah terrorist Samir al-Quntar.
Good job Mike…

this is outrages to put an american patriot like michael savage on the same level with muslim extremists who kill people, michael savage has never touched a fly on the wall, he is just talking the truth from his heart.
london, why are you so afraid of michael savage? because he may expose you for the world that you are not the london of the past because you lost your way. instead of taking on the real challenge to battle your enemies within, the muslim extremists who are terrorising jews & christans on daily basis & will in a few years take over your country, you have picked the wrong fight. we are all behind michael savage & we will not travel to the uk untill michael savage is taken off that list http://twitter.com/savage_limbaugh
I don’t agree with Savage being banned.
However, if he must be banned it should be for the right reason. Despite Savage painting himself as a champion of free speech, he is anything but. He took the organisation CAIR to court to prevent them from using snippets of his show on their website. Had Savage prevailed, free speech would have lessened for us all. See:

Free Speech is my top priority, as an American this scares me. Think about it, he is being banned for ideas, right? Whether or not they are awful, it’s a slippery slope when governments slap peoples names on “terrorist” type lists. They start off with people easy to hate, we all jump on board saying its a good thing, and the next thing you know our own names start showing up on these lists. Slippery slopes are way more scary to me than anything MS could spout.
Britain bans hate speech as incitement. He was pretty much banned from travel to Britain for that exact reason. While he may disagree with policies, it is his tone and his attacks which got him banned.
Until fairly recently, the only place in Britain where free speech was allowed was Speaker’s Square, Hyde Park, London. that was it. It was quite an experience to visit there in ‘99.
Entering a country is not a right… Michael Savage has free speech in his own country, America and the things he says are so offensive, I am not surprised that other countries will not let him in because he breaks their laws against inciting hate.
Kudos to the UK for banning hate inciters like Michael Savage and Fred Phelps. Their attacks on gay people (and soldiers, and autistic people, and minorities) are disgusting and shouldn’t be tolerated in a civilized society.
Oh – and boycott Michael Savage’s energy drink, Rockstar beverages!
I fully support Dr. Michael Weiner (Savage). While his rhetoric may become loud and boisterous at times, the inherent background of his message is clear and resounding – a fight against the loss of traditional values. There is no reason, for example, to expose a kindergardener to “This Is Why Your Teacher, Ms. Smith, Is Marrying Another Woman”. I have several gay friends, but none of them follow this “agenda” that Gay Rights are more important than the rights of anyone else.
Well… isn’t that special
Why are so many people afraid of others being able to make their own decisions? The fact is that the majority of abuse towards children are by straights, yet people freak out because a child learns the fact that lesbians and gays exist…and it might give them ideas? A book does not change a person’s orientation, and it’s not an “agenda”, it’s a reality. Perhaps the million heterosexual books child are exposed to will temper the exposure and “save” the children.
Stop using children for your personal agenda of fear and hatred!
