Important Update: Got a Dirty Mouth? Whiten It Up For Under 5 Bucks
Posted by: Lez Get Real on June 30, 2009.
*UPDATE: Problems with this have been reported by
LGR readers (Thanks Carolyn!)
Why were comments turned off on your teeth whitening post of June 17? I bit – and now have had to cancel my
credit card and am fighting seveal companies over fraudulent and decepting
marketing. Please Edit the post as a warning and add a post explaining the scam.
You can look up reactions to the
companies (who change names and addys frequently) on complaintsboard.com
I thought a post on a lebian blog I have read for a while would be OK. Please fix what you can.”
I’ve had
run ins like this before with companies, though I didn’t have a problem myself with this particular system, I believe Carolyn when she says she did, so the risks may not outweigh the benefits for you. While I’m not sure exactly what problems she ran in to (and I think this would make a great follow up post if you and any of the other readers want to help me on that ^_^), I’ve had the experience where you do the trial, you cancel on time, and then the jerks still charge you. You can call ‘em up with your original confirmation # of your cancelation and its still like pulling teeth to get them to reverse charges. And while I’m not the biggest fan of
Bank of America (NO MORE OVERDRAFTS A-HOLES!), they’ve been really good helping me with the problem I had, even going as far as reversing the charges.
Anyway, sorry if anybody is having trouble with these scam companies hijacking our accounts, I hate it myself. At least now I’ve got an idea for what I think will be a really great post coming up, and I would love if you guys throw in your thoughts, stories, and ideas for solutions, and organizations to join. That site you mentioned Carolyn is a great example.
SO, from now on, I can only say try this at your own risk:
“After locating two different companies offering “dentist strength”
teeth whitening products online,
Cathy took her idea a step further–to save even more money (as if the trials alone weren’t enough). Cathy (with the help of her son, as she quickly admits) was able to obtain TWO different discount
coupons that would drop the shipping price for each
trial to less than $1.99–meaning she could get her hands on both trials by paying less than $4 total.
“I was amazed… this was a steal, and I just couldn’t be more thankful. I was able to get both of the products, used them one after another, and the difference is astounding. This is better than I would have expected from my dentist.”
Cathy has been able to use the
internet to share her secret with thousands through publications such as this one. If you are interested in following her routine, we have provided
the coupon codes and links to the trial offers below:
Now this makes a lot more sense than spending hundreds of dollars at the dentist office. Goes to show that even in a
recession, you can still find something to smile about, right? I’ve tried these types of products in the past, as well, and they worked wonders on my poor smoke abused teeth. It’s really worth the five bucks, especially if you’ve got a
job interview coming up.
