Pat Robertson calls hate crime law a “noose” around Christian necks

Yesterday televangelist Pat Robertson put in his two cents on the Matthew Shepard and James Byrd, Jr. Hate Crimes Prevention Act, decrying the whole thing is an attack targeted at good homophobic Christians like himself by Congressional Democrats who are “opposed to many of the fundamental Christian beliefs”

In an interesting choice of words, since the law is in part designed to prevent the lynching of gays by people like him, Robertson said the new hate crimes act is just the latest instance of the “noose” tightening that is around “the necks of Christians.”
