When the offendor happens to a Priest (denominaion should not matter here) than that person should, in addition to any sentance administered by the secular courts, also be expelled from all and any Ministry (both Ordained and Lay). I think we can all agree with this. However publishing the names of accused people is a legal minefield. Not everyone accused of a crime is guilty. Publishing the names of accused persons has the potential of legal ramifications of liable and slander. We also have the presumption of innocence, which must be respected if the accused is to recieve a fair trial. These principles apply to all crimes, not just those addressed in this article. Consequently, any demand for any Church to publish the names of poeple accused of any crime prior to any court case or court conviction is ill advised.
