Help Re-elect Barbara Boxer; Help Rid us of Meg Whitman; the CA Sarah Palin

tan-mercado-and-boxerPosted by Melanie Nathan; Picture of Senator Boxer meeting with Shirley Tan and Jay Mercado and twins; The Lesbian mom – who was almost deported this year.  Senator Boxer’s office was suppportive and Senator Feinstein’s office introduced a private bill (#867) on behalf of the family.   It is important to ensure that whomever we support has signed on to UAFA and other LGBT legislation.

GENRAL ACTIVISM AND ALERTS; You will note that when I choose an alert that has fundraising motivation – I am not asking you to fund it– I am telling you to fund it.    There are some national fights that require a huge grass root response to make the difference. To help keep our LGBT interests at the fore it is imperative that Senator Boxer be re-elected and that Meg Whitman and Carly Fiorina are axed!  Read on and make your decision…..  So $5.00 a piece will do the trick…. speak with your money.   Even though some activists are cheesed off at the Demoratic Party, we must remain on course by re-electing those who have always been our champions.  we cannot afford to lose a single friendly vote.

THIS ONE REALLY concerns me _ Senator Boxer is imperative to the LGBT community. I highly recommend donating to her campaign as being in the interests of LGBT issues nationally.   Even though she may not be your Senator her vote is for you!

Last week, Karl Rove wrote an article in the Wall Street Journal predicting that national Republicans would pick up at least four and as many as six Senate seats in 2010.

Talking about California specifically, Rove called Barbara Boxer “vulnerable” and said that Carly Fiorina “could be a strong candidate [...] if she can win her nomination battle” against Assemblyman Chuck DeVore.     Contribute $5 to Barbara’s campaign right now — and show Karl Rove that Barbara Boxer has the grassroots support she needs to beat Carly Fiorina, Chuck DeVore, or any challenger in 2010!   https://donate.barbaraboxer.com/page/contribute?source=121509email_non

Fox News contributor Dick Morris went even further than Rove did, predicting a Republican sweep of both the House and Senate next year and an outright victory for Carly Fiorina over Barbara Boxer.   With the Republican establishment lining up to help defeat Barbara, we can’t take anything for granted.

That’s why we’ve launched our biggest grassroots fundraising drive yet — a goal of $250,000 before the December 31 year-end fundraising deadline — to show folks like Karl Rove, Dick Morris, Chuck DeVore and Carly Fiorina that Barbara has the support she needs to win in 2010.

Senator Boxer -needs your help, right now, to close the year strong.  https://donate.barbaraboxer.com/page/contribute?source=121509email_non

Californians have got to do their part get the word out about Meg Whitman – She champions herself as a successful business woman and not a politician. However, not enough people know about the $1billion loss with Skype, the 10% layoffs at eBay, the similar layoffs she wants for state workers, etc. etc. etc.

Do not under any circumstances vote for Meg Whitman. She in no way should be trusted. She was the instrumental force in destroying ebay form what it once was and now only wants cheap chinese merchandise on the ebay site. Her and her protege Donaho ruined the home businesses of millions of ebay sellers with there nonsensical policies at the height of the recession that did nothing but cater to the huge diamond seller corporations and pushed the little guys out. Ebay has double standards for sellers of different sizes.

Ebay is well known for not dealing with even the smallest of issues and not listening to the millions who pay their salaries (the little sellers).

Meg Whitman will do nothing but put her own lackeys in power and they will ruin the state of California even more.

I whole-heartedly support all efforts to DE-elect Barbara Boxer. She is an incompetent legislator with a mean-spirited attitude and antagonistic personality pursuing an agenda consisting entirely of:

    Abortions–safe, legal, and plentiful!

Perhaps you should actually read the legislation she’s supported and championed during her time in office. The Freedom of Choice Act, for example, strives to remove any and all restrictions on abortion at the federal, state, and local levels regardless of whether they make sense, have popular support, or promote good health. She’s quite proud of this stance–her website goes on at length about how she’s “the Senate’s leader in the fight to protect a woman’s right to choose” and all the ways she advocates in favor of partial-birth abortions, eliminating parental notification laws, allowing third trimester abortions, forcing practitioners and religious-based hospitals to perform abortions even against their moral beliefs, and on and on. Even NARAL admits these positions would increase the number of abortions, and this issue is Barbara’s #1 priority by her own admission. Although she euphemistically describes it as “Women’s Health.”

I’m merely pointing out the facts that most Californian voters are unaware of. My research has shown that most people only vote for Boxer because of name recognition and not knowing anything about her opponent. Once they find out her true positions, they’re appalled! My only hope is to spread the word far enough before November that people will open their eyes and elect a senator who actually cares about their well being.

If you prefer to keep yours closed, my sympathies to you.

Since we don’t know her opponent will be yet, it doesn’t make much sense to expound on hypotheticals.

And I would love to see a Democrat make a serious challenge to her in the primary.

It is rare for a sitting Senator to face a primary challenge. As for the legislation that Senator Boxer has sponsored and voted on regarding abortion, I would like to point out that you have twisted a nuanced subject into an either/or proposition. While she is for making sure that women’s rights in this issue are not restricted, it does not mean that she is for “plentiful” abortions.

Hep defeat Carly Fiorina by passing on the facts about her disastrous tenure as CEO of Hewlett-Packard. Visit http://www.carly-fiorina.com

Also, if you worked for HP, Compaq, Lucent or AT&T while Fiorina was there, please share your stories of her incompetence.

The real story is the help that DeVore gave to a woman that Boxer and Feinstein WOULD NOT help. He mother in a prison in China for her faith was at her wits end trying to get help from any politician in California. None would help except Assemblyman Chuck DeVore. To his amazement and delight she met him a few weeks ago at the San Diego event. Her mother had been released due to his intervention. Do you see him blowing his horn over this? NO. Her safety is more important than a campaign. THIS IS WHAT REAL SERVICE TO CONSTITUENTS IS. It’s not getting elected at any cost. Fiorina is a joke and so is Boxer.
