The Family Finally Puts Pressure On Uganda To Terminate The “Kill The Gays” Bill

Coat_of_arms_of_ugandaDr. Maddow last night reported that The Family has come out against the Uganda’s “Kill The Gays” Bill. Dr. Maddow has made this issue something of a staple on her show. In recent weeks, she has gone after many of the architects of this legislation. While it is unclear if an amended version of the bill, which would strip away the harsh punishments, is to be introduced, the pressure has begun to build to just terminate this bill entirely. The Family is the last of the groups with some ties to this to come out and ask that it be stopped. In point of fact, they appear to be putting direct pressure upon their people in Uganda to stop this bill from moving forward. If that is true, then this is the first time that anyone connected to this bill from the United States has done more than provided a token push from within Uganda. Most of the people who helped create the atmosphere within Uganda whereby this legislation could be crafted.
