NBC cuts homophobic scene from Law & Order SVU episode “PC”

Kathy Griffin, who is guest starring on the Law & Order SVU episode “PC”, has tweeted that Law & Order creator Dick Wolf has decided to cut the contraversial scene.

After tweeting a clip of Wednesday’s coming episode, “PC”, the executive producer, Neal Baer, received several angry and disappointed tweets from viewers who couldn’t believe what they had seen. In the clip, Detective Olivia Benson makes a homophobic remark as she exists the room, implying that the lesbian activist inside is liable to pounce on any straight woman within her grasp.

NBC have yet to comment on this, but it seems they have reconsidered their episode in light of viewer reaction.

“PC” was written by Dan Truly, who is responsible for other SVU travesties* such as “Anchor”, “Babes” and “Ballerina”.

*by “travesties” I mean “not very good”, not “offensive”. - @CanuckJacq
