Virginia Court Does Not Press Charges Against Miller In Custody Batte

A Bedford Family Court Judge has refused to issue a warrant against Lisa Miller regarding her disappearance on the grounds that the original order to hand custody of Isabella Miller over to Janet Jenkins had not been served. At last report, not all avenues attempting to serve the warrant had been exhausted. This has lead to the delay in issuing a warrant, and the Virginia Courts may be reluctant to issue their own warrant until after the Vermont courts do so. The next hearing in Vermont is to be held on 23 February, where, if everything is set up, a warrant could be issued.

Liberty Council’s lawyers claim that Janet Jenkins is the problem parent in this case. They claim that she refused to come to her daughter’s school and church performances, and refused to go to Lynchburg. While that is somewhat true, that only happened after Lisa Miller declared herself “ex-lesbian” and the toxic environment in Lynchburg to lesbians made it difficult, if not impossible, for Jenkins to visit her daughter there. Before that, Jenkins often made the trips to Virginia to visit her daughter. Miller has refused all contact between Isabella and Janet Jenkins for some time now and come out with a bunch of allegations which were investigated by the courts and found to be baseless lies.

The nastiness of this custody battle has continued onward with many of Miller’s supporters claiming that Jenkins has never questioned the safety of Isabella, nor what is in the best interest of Isabella despite the fact that those issues have come up time and time again. Of course, when someone believes that the best interests of a child lie in her being cut off from one of her parents and instead in the arms of someone who is just shy of breaking the law, then it is easy to ignore the rest of the facts in this case.
