Lindsay Lohan is mad over E-Trade‘s latest ad. E-Trade has built their name around their brilliant advertising strategy. Their commercials feature babies, speaking like adults, that can trade online because it’s so easy with E-trade. The commercials are cheesy, but in a way that has caught America‘s attention. They have also caught Lindsay Lohan’s attention. The latest E-Trade ad (watch the video below) features a baby named Lindsay who is described as a “milkaholic” and a “boyfriend stealer.”
The commercial debuted during the SuperBowl and Lohan’s lawyers filed the suit in Nassau Country Supreme Court yesterday. Lindsay Lohan is suing them because she claims the baby was modeled after her. She wants $100 million for her pain and suffering. Lindsay’s lawyers had this to say:
“Many celebrities are known by one name only, and E-Trade is using that knowledge to profit,” Ovadia said. “They used the name Lindsay,” Ovadia said. “They’re using her name as a parody of her life. Why didn’t they use the name Susan? This is a subliminal message. Everybody’s talking about it and saying it’s Lindsay Lohan.” Ovadia wants an injunction to force the spot off the air, and the Lindsay camp wants every last copy of the commercial.
E-Trade has not commented, but the Grey Group, who produced the commercial, is saying that the ad had nothing to so with Lindsay ad that they used the name of an employee in their accounting department.
I believe that the baby was a reference to Lindsay, however, it was generic enough for her not to be able to sue. Perhaps if the baby had been bisexual, Lindsay would have a stronger case.

Wow! Lindsay is in a SCRAM bracelet. Wonder how she’ll get out of this one?
