Yesterday was the first day that same-sex couples can legally marry in Washington D.C.. It is the the sixth place in the United States where marriage equality is legal. The first couple to enter into marriage yesterday morning in our nation’s capital was Angelisa Young and Sinjoyla Townsend.
They were married in the office of the Human Rights Campaign followed by two other couples. Congratulations to all the newlyweds!
