Eminem Supports Marriage Equality

Today has been a crazy day for celebrity news and it’s only 11 o’clock. I don’t know about all of you, but I’m exhausted. The Advocate is reporting that Eminem (for those of you too young to remember, he was a famous homophobic rapper that we all hailed as an incredible talent back in the early 00′s. With lyrics like “Hi my name is wika wika Slim Shady, don’t ask. It was crazy times.) has changed his homophobic ways and is now a big LGBT civil rights supporter. The Advocate reports:

Deborah Solomon, the Q&A columnist for The New York Times Magazine, and said that his view reflects “the new tolerant me.”

“You’ve been accused of writing gay-bashing lyrics in the past,” said Solomon. “Would you like to see gay marriage approved in Michigan, where you live?”

Eminem replied, “I think if two people love each other, then what the hell? I think that everyone should have the chance to be equally miserable, if they want.”

It’s speculated that this change was brought on with the help of Elton John, who helped Eminem with his life threatening drug addiction. First Eminem, now Rush Limbaugh. Apparently Elton John is on a mission to change the world’s homophobes, one phobe at a time. Go on with your bad self, Elton.
