MAGGIE Blog Comments Reflect her Absurdity and Congress’s Complicity

Well anyway making it onto lezgetreal. Sometimes we read a comment to a BLOG and it makes so much sense that it supersedes the BLOG itself – in relevance in chuckle and most of all in its ability to highlight absurdity. Behold this fun one — but of course I am compelled to quote the entire BLOG piece to which it ascribes (Pardon my audacity and hopefully I wont throw up – especially on this beautiful white satin sheet in my luxury Club Med Ixtapa Suite)

Now you might ask why is Melanie regurgitating this crap? Bringing this meaningless crap to our attentions. The answer is – I have been writing about the importance of leadership from Congress truly because neither they nor the LGBT community can afford to rely solely on those perceived leaders and non profits who claim domain and think they are the messiah of our rights! Those who self serve to the point of failure.

We have elected officials – it is our representatives who should lead the way and we should not have to lobby nor strategize for them. Its their job to make equality happen.

So for those who read this herein below and for one second thinks its remotely okay to have 40% of our Country believe this crap -0 then go back to sleep. But for thos of you who agree with the 60% who think thisd type of thinking is reprehensible, dangerous, unjust and plain wrong – then wake up and work for our freedom from this false and tainted image about our community, for as long as you do not, you are complicit in this thought process. CONGRESS its your JOB to rectify this. If you fear losing your job and practise political expediency above what is right, then you are a FAILURE in any event.

They’ve taken away our civil right to vote on whether Jews can hold public office. Those darn liberals — taking away our civil right to vote away other people’s civil rights.”

2. Here is another intellectual comment:… ” And no one is saying that gays should not be able to vote or own property or hold public office. This is about defending the core meaning of marriage. Women never demanded to be called men when struggling for sufferage. Blacks never demanded to be called white in the struggle to desegregate the south. Neither should homosexual couples demand to be called married couples.”
3. Now if your feathers aint ruffled yet get a load of this one : ” My point is that most people have a very good reason to favor man-woman relationships as opposed to man-man or woman-woman relationships. Homosexuality, for instance, serves no natural or social benifit to society whatsoever. Worse, it is the most efficient method of spreading STDs like AIDs, HIV, syphillis, etc. That is why I don’t believe the government should promote and encourage such a lifestyle by forcing such a redefinition of marriage onto society, even if it allows and tolerates homosexuality.”
