Tammy Lynn Michaels Files For Full Custody Of Children From Union With Melissa Etheridge

The back and forth with the dissolution of Melissa Etheridge and Tammy Lynn Michael’s domestic partnership is set to get a lot nastier in the near future. Etheridge has asked for joint custody of the twins that she and Michaels have together, but Michaels has asked for full custody of the twins. Michaels had the twins after being impregnated by an anonymous sperm donor.

Michaels is also seeking spousal support given that she gave up her career to marry Etheridge and raise their children. They have both cited irreconcilable differences in seeking to dissolve their union. Michaels might run into some issues given that she has filed improperly for a dissolution of marriage rather than a dissolution of domestic partnership. The couple do not appear to have married while it was legal in California.
