   Being a star doesn’t release you from financial and legal obligations related to marriage, domestic partnership, and children. I for one a sick of all these ego’s gone wild singers, actors, etc. getting away with not having to follow the same rules as the rest of middle America do. Melissa, you have 4 kids by 2 different ex wives that birthed these kids FOR you as you wouldn’t do it yourself. Simple answer, your choice to marry, have children, then cheat and leave…. your OBLIGATION to PAY. If Speak True is yourmantra, then walk the talk instead of just talking the talk~!

   I find this extremely interesting considering that Tammy’s blog is NOT EQUIPPED with a comment section. Check it out for yourself….

   No comment section, no email address…so I have to ask just where exactly these “quotes” are from. I personally left a non-flattering to Tammy comment to this story yesterday and think it is highly suspicious that the exact same story is posted today with a totally new comment section.

   The author of the post I responded to yesterday went out of her way to say she would not respond to any comments, yet this morning I had an email saying she did not want to comment on public person’s personal life. Why bother telling me that when I never expected you to or even asked for that, Bridgette? And what is up with this repetitive posting after you went out of your way to tell us yesterday how much you don’t follow or care about “pop culture ( Author: Bridgette P. LaVictoire

   I was a bit confused when I went back to the thread and did not see either of the responses that showed up in my email but not in the thread, but really didn’t think anything of it until I logged in tonight to find a re-posting of the same story with a new comment thread and flat out lies.

   So Bridgette, what gives??? Why the private response and the repost? If you put it in the public sphere, then you have to expect comments, where they are allowed, such as on this site without censorship expect for personal attacks, which I did not engage in. You, and by association, this blog has lost all integrity as far as I’m concerned. For anyone that is still reading this rant and cares, my previous post from yesterday that I stand by 100% follows:

   “Tammy is “blind sided” by what, exactly??? I don’t really care what they “pinky swore” on (is she 12????), at this point each party has to do what is best for themselves…that is what the end of a relationship means.

   And what is this crap about Tammy “gave up everything”…blah blah blah…so the work she did while in the marriage (L-Word, anyone??) was for free cuz she gave up her earning potential to give Melissa children??? Give me a f’ing break!

   No financial support for Tammy does not mean no support for the children she still wants to be a parent to. Perhaps Tammy needs to stop licking her wounds at Mommy’s house and get her ass back to work like us mere mortal are forced to do when our relationships end.

   I have very little respect for either of them at this time but the one very stark difference I can’t help but notice is that Tammy is still churning out her so-called “poetry” on her pathetic blog while Melissa continues to refuse to speak of the break up publicly and even forbids discussion on her official blog.

   Grow up Tammy. Success is the very best revenge. Give it a shot, learn some class and keep in mind everything you post on line has the very real potential of being read in the future by the children you share with Melissa. Send her an email if you have something to tell her, but for god’s sake and the sake of your children, keep it OUT of the public sphere.”

   I stand by what I write and own it totally with an ability to respond. Why don’t you Bridgette and Tammy??? If you put in the public place, you put it up for conversation.

     I responded to this comment a lot in the other thread, but I would like to point this out:

     Yes, MaiaD, and you are MORE than welcome to have a conversation with the others who will know far more about this subject than I do since I know close to zilch about it. The last time I regularly listened to Melissa Etheridge’s music was a decade ago. I have not been a regular listener to her for quite some time. I have her ‘greatest hits album’, but I listen to, maybe, two songs on there. So, if you are looking for answers to the burning questions about this whole divorce, please be patient. Natasia will be back on Tuesday, and she will know more than I do.

     Amen on that!!! Seriously Tammy, she should get over herself.. as if she is the 1st women to get a divorce after spending her “youthful years” giving herself in a marriage… it’s not like she did all the hard work… both of them did… Tammy the homemaker and Melissa the moneymaker. Even through cancer… Melissa did not stop herself… And seriously? She gave up her acting career? L Word.. although it were like 5 lines in all…And even after Melissa finished with the chemotherapy and the kids were already old enough… she still kept whining, bitching and moaning in front of a laptop and a screen blinker…. She also had the audacity to treat and address Melissa’s career like a joke and even some cancer events… of course she now deleted most of those blogs, and the others are edited…. The farmgirl should grow the fuck up and wake up and smell reality…. She needs to stop bitching and get a job. When my mom divorced my dad I was a toddler and my sister was a teenager.. my dad didn’t want to give child support.. nor nothing… my momma was always a very hard working woman…. and she was and is my mother and father figure… Some women have the balls to continue with their life for their kids and their own sake…. and other women just need to fucking grow a pair.. and stop moaning… Aren’t her kids already 3 going on 4? Aren’t they on school? I’m pretty sure that Melissa is paying for their school/food/and other needs…. so for her to act like a penniless victim is just vindictive, vile and delusional. Poor Melissa.. she mistook rebound girl for someone more serious…. I’m shocked that Melissa didn’t leave her sooner… didn’t Melissa read her poisonous borderline crazy blogs???

   To not leave Tammy at least as financially well of as she was when her and MLE first met is unforgiveable. Tammy cared for M|LE’s kids with another woman, then cared for MLE during cancer, then cared for her and MLE’s kids while MLE went off and did her thing. For almost 9 years tammy cared for melissa in one way or another. She definately deserves financial restitution for that and I for one hope she gets a good lawyer who sucks the bucks out of Melissa, who seems to have gone from icon lesbian to legend in her own mind!

     Very well said and I CONCUR! Melissa should act with compassion and think about the millions of single moms. Whether straight, gay, rich, or poor, raising children as a single mom is TOUGH. Although Melissa wants joint custody and I’m sure, will take care of her children- Tammy did invest her youthful years to support Melissa. She could’ve been working all this time.
