Angelina Jolie Feels That Being Someone’s Wife Is Not Special, Not Pushing Marriage

Angelina Jolie has made it rather clear that she and Brad Pitt will not get married any time soon despite being together for the past five years.  After two turns at the altar, Jolie just no longer feels as if being someone’s wife is all that special.  Jolie stated “I do think marriage is a lovely thing as I’ve tried it twice before, but we haven’t felt the need to do it yet.  We have already made the greatest commitment of having a family together.”

Jolie and Pitt are raising six children together, three of them their biological children.  Previously, Jolie was married to Billy Bob Thornton and Jonny Lee Miller.

Regarding her and Pitt’s relationship, she stated “We push each other to be better, even if it’s just a better bike rider or a better pilot.  We’re constantly in competition.”  Regarding flying “There is nothing freer than flying and looking down on the world. It’s the only place I am totally alone. I learned to fly in England and have had my pilot’s license for a few years – Brad flies, too.”

Jolie has plans to write and direct her own film in the near future.  The couple has been in the tabloids repeatedly since the two became a couple, often with people going after Jolie for ‘stealing’ Pitt away from Jennifer Anniston.  Speculation has endured regarding Anniston’s sexuality, however.  Jolie has admitted to being bisexual and having had at least one girlfriend.

One of Jolie’s earliest roles was in the video for the Meat Loaf song “Rock ‘n’ Roll Dreams Come Through”.
