David Yost Of Power Rangers Fame Discusses Homophobia On The Set

08/26/10-by bridgette p. LaVictoire
Recently, the Power Rangers podcast No Pink Spandex sat down with former Blue Power Ranger David Yost to discuss his departure from the show as well as filming the movie and his cast members. The interview, which was done at the Anime Festival Orlando 2010, also covered a number of other topics as well. Following his departure from the show, Yost entered an ex-gay program, and two years later had a nervous breakdown, a stay at the hospital, and a move to Mexico where he finally accepted his homosexuality.

Thanks for posting this. I’ve stopped watching the Power Rangers after I became 15, but still have fond memories of it. Watching my favourite ranger (he was blue AND had a triceratops!) telling this story nearly brought me to tears.
