Modern Family To Finally Get Kiss Between Gay Couple

Expect a kiss when ABC’s Modern Family returns, and this time between the show’s gay couple Cameron and Mitchell. Emmy nominees Jesse Tyler Ferguson and Eric Stonestreet, the two actors behind the couples have their take on the upcoming episode. Ferguson stated “Don’t expect a Gone With the Wind type of thing happening, I know the fans would like that. We’re doing an episode about Mitchell’s fear of PDA, so it’s not the kiss episode per se, but yeah. It’s going to be a really poignant, beautiful thing but less of an ordeal than people think it is.”

Stonestreet asserts that it will be the fourth episode when the two kiss. He stated “It’s a sweet moment for our show, not just a sweet moment for Mitch and Cam.”

Ferguson joked, though, about the possibility of his winning an Emmy and where it will go “I just bought a new house and there’s no space for anything so I think it would have to go in a box for a while, or a door stop. I think that would be awesome. In the freezer maybe.”
