Paris Hilton Arrested For Cocaine Possession, Riding In Car Streaming Marijuana Smoke

Someone did not teach Paris Hilton that she is suppose to ‘pay through the nose’ and not send money up her nose. That is effectively what she has been doing, apparently. Paris Hilton was arrested for possession of cocaine. Officers stopped the vehicle that she was traveling in after they noticed that the car was leaving a trail of smoke that smelled strongly of a controlled substance- namely marijuana. The car was driven by a friend of the twenty-nine year old Hilton Hotels heiress.

According to Las Vegas police spokesman Marcus Martin, “Officers noticed a vehicle leaving [a] smoke trail of a controlled substance [and] made a stop based on that.” Hilton and her friend must have been really lighting up the joints. Perhaps they were trying to fend off a squad of Roman soldiers trying to catch them. During the stop, they also noticed what appeared to be a drug on Hilton herself and tests later showed that it was cocaine. One has to wonder why she was covered in cocaine. Somehow it is doubtful that it was from her rolling around in a pool of money since no one outside of cartoons actually does that.

On lookers and other people gathered around the traffic stop out of curiosity. This being Las Vegas, a bit of street theater is always welcome.

According to Police Watch Commander Lieutenant Wayne Holman, Hilton was being held until morning when she would be released on her own recognizance. Hilton’s manager and publicist, so far, is being silent. The police have not released the name of the man arrested with Hilton.

This summer, Hilton was arrested after the Brazil-Netherlands World Cup match in Port Elizabeth, South Africa. The charges of marijuana possession were later dropped. Some Americans might say that one needs to be high to watch soccer though there are undoubtably many Europeans who feel that is more true of baseball.

In 2007, she spent twenty-three days in jail on alcohol-related reckless driving charges.
