Elton John gave an interview to the Telegraphwhere he talked about the Rush Limbaugh thing AGAIN. This time he compared Rush to President Obama, pointing out that both men don’t believe in marriage equality. Well, he’s got me there. Then, he talked about another relationship that he was criticized for, his friendship with rapper Eminem. John says that he really does think that having a gay friend can change people, as Eminem recently said that he is in favor of marriage equality. The Telegraph article details how far Em has come:
The tide can change, [John] says. He faced similar criticism in 2001 when he joined Eminem on stage at the Grammy awards, ignoring the controversy about the rap singer’s allegedly homophobic lyrics. Eminem has now come out in support of gay marriage. ‘For our civil partnership present he gave David [Furnish] and me two diamond-encrusted cock-rings.’ [Source]
And now you know and now we can all suffer together.

Ok, I’m not Elton John’s biggest fan, but maybe he has been clever all along with befriending anti-gay voiceboxes. I didn’t understand when he wanted to perform with Eminem (now I like Eminem for other reasons), but look at what’s happened. Eminem has matured in so many ways, and this friendship has helped him see what it’s like to be gay and have no rights. Maybe, just maybe, the friendship with Rush Limburgh will have the same effect.
Now, the mental image of Elton John and David Furnish wearing diamond encrusted cock rings is going to be harder to come to terms with……lol
