Cindy McCain Contradicts NoH8 PSA With Tweet Backing Sen. McCain On DADT

11/12/10-by Bridgette P. LaVictoire
It cannot be one or the other. Unfortunately, Cindy McCain, who along with her daughter Meghan McCain, has had a rather troublesome relationship with Senator John McCain, Cindy’s husband and Meghan’s father. Senator McCain opposes the repeal of Don’t Ask, Don’t Tell and has filibustered its repeal so far despite the fact that it is discriminatory, unconstitutional, and immoral. It leads bullying and the institutionalization of homophobia and bigotry.

Cindy McCain seems to have gotten that in her recent PSA for NOH8, but now, this rather bizarre tweet from her contracts not only itself, but the very things that she said for NOH8. Mrs. McCain tweeted “I fully support the NOH8 campaign and all it stands for and am proud to be a part of it. But I stand by my husband’s stance on DADT.”

The tweet became grist for the discussion regarding DADT on Countdown while Keith Olbermann was talking to Lieutenant Dan Choi. It is likely that Senator McCain is going to continue to filibuster the repeal of DADT despite the fact that repeal will not effect or damage the military.

Cindy McCain definitely is an abused spouse and McCain is the abuser and a BULLY. Apparently Cindy doesn’t have the right to have her own opinion or thoughts. You just have to feel so sorry for these straight women who put up with men who are so obviously lacking and are thus so incredibly insecure. Basically JMcCain needs to be put away in some nursing home now and forgotten about. Shame on Cindy for caving and demonstrating to the world (including gay teens) that its more important to give into temper tantrums, threats and BULLYING, then to stand up for yourself and whats right.

My mind immediately jumped to a whole other conclusion!  I figured John had done what so very many other husband’s do and gotten hold of Cindy’s phone (or whatever one tweets on) and entered that tweet himself, but in her name.  You see it all the time on Judge Judy.

Typical GOP subordinate female, not allowed to have own thoughts.
Well kids will see video not tweet. And Dan Choi got them both tonight on Countdown by slamming adults who do not take responsibility for practicing and teaching bigotry and bullying

Here in Arizona we know John McCain as a man with a short evil temper.  He probably pitched an ugly fit at his wife.  He has a history of calling her vile names.  My guess is she softened her stance to get her little toad husband to calm down.

Dee: Thats exactly what I thought. He pitched some fit and she did what she did to get him to stop. To me anyway, she seems to come across as a battered spouse.
