Melanie Nathan – Dec 09-2010 Bye- Bye Bahati. Sources have informed LGR that David Bahati ,who was taped for yesterday and today’s Rachel Maddow Show, was told to get out of the USA by authorities Thursday.
Bahati had planned on staying in the USA; he could leave over the weekend, but he was asked to leave right away by Department of State officials. He had been banned and refused entry to the conference which was the basis for his his single event VISA to enter the USA. When he showed up for the Conference he was asked by Organizers to leave and refused entry, despite the fact that other MP’s from Uganda had been allowed to participate.
The organizers cited the fact that they would not associate themselves with the Author of what became known as the Kill Gays Bill, officially The Anti-Homosexual Bill; which Bahati hopes will pass in Uganda in the Spring.
Authorities informed Bahati that he was no longer welcome and nor was he legally entitled to remain in the USA. He was put on a plane for Paris and is probably in the sky as we speak. So while you are watching him on Maddow, he is gone! A large group of activists were planning to protest tomorrow. However now that he is gone – protests have been called off and the activists assert they are happy he is gone.
Now perhaps our protests will be with our US dollars. Did you know that we use a great deal of Ugandan coffee. Nest time you are in Starbucks ask what Coffeee they use.
GOOD MORNING UGANDA
By the way Dear – Ugandan Readers – we love the people of Uganda – I have two beautiful children and I am a lesbian – I will never hurt my children or yours. American society accepts me, its only the fringe like the Fellowship that Bahati Belongs to that put out false information about people like me. None of it is true. Bahati spent the entire say shopping in the most expensive part of DC USA today. Whose money is he using. Do not vote for BAHATI he is spending your money on luxury in the USA. If the anti homosexual bill passes, I expect Uganda will be isolated by the International community and it will loose all friends. Because Bahati says that Gay people have no human rights. That is against the International Declaration of Human Rights.

Bahati obtained a single event visa to the USA to attend the International Consortium of Governmental Financial Management conference.
But on Tuesday he was denied entry into the conference venue, despite the fact that other MPs from Uganda had been allowed to participate.
The conference organizers cited the fact that they would not associate themselves with the author of what became known as the Kill Gays Bill, officially The Anti-Homosexual Bill; which Bahati hopes will pass.

Grow up observer!

Your report is written like a primary school magazine article! Is it true that bahati’s bill calls for death of gays and their supporters?
Has your reporter actually read the bill and tried to understand it before commenting on it? We value standards of the observer, so please use reporters who are up to the high standards we have to expect of you.
Why Flog a Dead Horse?
written by Soul , December 10, 2010
They have said it all. I know what it means but the “Masters” have spoken. Stop wasting time, flogging a dead horse! Call it off and life continues.
I assure you even here in Uganda that bill will never go through, not because it is a bad bill no. It is because we are still under colonialism by the super powers.
Bahati is our hero
written by Gowon , December 10, 2010
Bahati is a legislator, not a dictator. The bill is proposed to be debated (not decreed) in Uganda parliament by the representative of the people of Uganda.
I could still be still modified or even thrown out all together. It is not an American bill. How can American homosexual Sate Department functionary be so intolerant of Bahati’s expressed opinion to the extent of deporting him out of the USA soil?
Is that the tolerance American democracy is all about? There are many better things the Americans can deport Ugandan parliamentarians for including corruption if they meant well for Uganda.
They don’t do that. Bahati come back home to our hero’s welcome where over 33,000,000 await your hero’s arrival. We live in Uganda, not in America and our life will always continue without America as it has been before. Long live homo sapiens, and down with homo sexualis the criminal child molesters!!!!!
US disrespectful of right and freedom of choice.
written by Russo , December 10, 2010
US activists are selfish and dishonest to their international celebrated image of land of freedom and liberty. MP Bahati did not go to US to kill gays.
I think the reaction by stae deparyment is deplorable and deamning to the cordial relationship between the Uganda and US government.
If M7 and his government is serious then they should demand an explanation as to why a Uganda legislator who does not own the Bill but acting on behalf of the voice of majority Ugandans should be humiliated like that by US government riding on the pressure from gays.
My friends in US, please know that MP Bahati is no simple man but a respected man of integrity and societal status in Uganda majority of whom support him on gay bill issues.
US has shown us that they disrespect Uganda’s right of freedom of choice of sexual sanctity and integrity.
Christian Children’s Fund

This is what happens when you send money to fundamentalist Christians to feed hungry children. The hungry children are grateful for being fed and willingly believe every lie they are told by their rescuers.
If the US respected “Uganda’s right of freedom of choice of sexual sanctity and integrity” they would have fed them just the food and left out the agendas.

look, he only had a visa to go to that ONE event. When the organizers of that event decided not to let him in he no longer had a right to stay.
That was when the government asked him to leave. The event organizers are not the government and retain the right to refuse service. The government asking him to leave had nothing to do with his politics or beliefs. It could have been a KISS convention and it would have been the same.
Don’t ever let Bahati back in the US
written by Jon , December 10, 2010
After reading the comments from Ugandans, why, after your years of colonialism would you allow the same colonialists to influence your legislation? Are you stupid? It appears so.
Keep your filth in your own country, I pray Mr Bahati is on a plane to Uganda he’s “reaping what he sows”.

I am glad Bahati is finally getting a taste of what it means to be discriminated. Not that i wish him bad, but i think his virus should be killed before it spreads to other African nations. He keeps saying we are gay bacause people from the West give us 15million dollars to recruit children! Who gives gays that amount of money when our national refferal hospital doesn’t even have such a budget? Anyway, personally i don’t see why Bahati just can’t stay in Uganda rather than travelling to countries where people become gay by “osmosis.” I wonder if Americans “recruited” him into homosexuality. Bahati is going to die a very lonely and unhappy man if he does not back away from oppressing people who have nothing to do with why Ugandans are poor, threatened with diseases, and corrupt.

i am Ugandan, and am reading some of the comments here from so called xtians and so called Ugandans and it just breaks my heart….
we have children dying of disease, pothole ridden roads, abject poverty, a devaluing shilling, poor medical services and all you can think about is hanging LGBT? (muswale ko namwe!)
what ever happened to common sense?
I am a Ugandan, and have too many issues on my plate to worry about what two consenting adults do in the privacy of their homes… it is exactly that, their business! …if you don’t like gays or gay sex, the solution is simple… DON’T HAVE IT!!!!
am not very religious, but i shudder to to think what Jesus would do if he saw how hateful his people have become… WHAT A SHAME!

Well, there are a few self-righteous Ugandans who appear to be full of hate and anxiety. Maybe they are afraid of losing their men to other men? And the men who think they are straight keep looking at the other men in Uganda with lust in their thoughts, and it makes them very anxious and worried. Maybe that is the reason that country has become full of hate? Just a thought. Don’t ponder that thought too long. it will make you stay up all night. Meanwhile, keep your bigots at home. We don’t need nor want them ANYWHERE else in the world! Uganda is a lost country for a reason: Because its people are lost. We only feel sadness for you, while you feel hate for us. But who is winning?

The reason 47 senators voted against allowing a vote on Don’t Ask Just Kick Gay & Lesbian American Heroes Out of the Military on Thursday is because they don’t think we have human rights either.

The fight will continue here in Uganda. He doesn’t need to stay in the US for the law to be passed. They deny hundred of Ugandans Visas to the US, thousands are deported, so this is just one of those things the US does! We shall continue the fight against gays at home.

Grace; Jesus I believe would be horrified at the idea of murdering any of G-ds children for being what the creator made them to be. It has been proved that people are born gay and do not become gay because of anyone else. This is a scientific fact. That means G-d made gays gay. I am a lesbian woman who believes deeply in G-d. I have two beautiful children which thanks to science I was able to give birth. I also have a child who I adopted from an orphanage overseas. My kids are well adjusted and are perfectly normal kids. It is those who think they want to murder fellow human beings simply for loving another person – who are the true sinners in G-ds eyes. It is those who spread lies and hate about fellow beings who are the imperfect and moral ones. Bahati made a fool of himself on TV in the USA. The world will not go against gays just because the crazy Idi Amins want more killing. The world hated Amin and yes Bahati is the same. So you may say you do not care about Americans and what they think. Unfortunately you will care when all tourism stops, when your coffee is banned and when the US government pulls its support for treatment of AIDS in your country. SO vote Bahati vote hate vote the end of Uganda as you know it…… that is what will hurt your kids – not nice people like me….

Please read about the Last Judgment. What does Jesus ask to separate the sheep and the goats? I will give you a hint: it has nothing to do with their sex lives.

Grace – you’re free to “continue ytour fight against gays at home”. We are also free to cut off any aid from the US, Britain, Canada and the rest of Europe. Try working on improving your living conditions and the human rights in Uganda. The reason this “bill” by Bahati is being presented is a distraction. It is to make people focus on hating others instead of the failures and corruption of your government.
From Idi Amin to Museveni and Bahati. If the oppression of gay people is allowed, then why should anyone care about the death and poverty of Ugandans? Be careful who you kill, the next person killed may be you.

I strongly believe that Mr Bahati was standing out to protect the good morals of our nation. Lesbianism and gay acts are morals of a decaying or dying society. Remember it was because of this that God rained fire and brimstone on Sodom and Gomorrah. Lesbianism and gayism have never promoted a society, they just destroy it. It is very, very absurd that many of the American people and those who practice and promote such acts don’t believe in and don’t regard the existance of God. It is a real shame. Well some day somebody will have to give an account for these great evils.

Who told you that societies crumble and decay because of gay people? That is a lie and is nothing more than religious propoganda. Read real history books and you will see that societies fall from wars, violence, and conflict. The only commandments God gave to humanity were the ten commandments which includes the commandment not kill, and the two greatest commandments from Jesus where he said to love God with all your heart and all your mind and to love your neighbor as yourself. God commands people not to judge. Even if being gay is a sin, and there are many religious leaders from around the world who say it is not, it is not our place to judge or condemn others. It is extremely arrogant to try and take Gods place in judgement and condemn fellow human beings. I believe that to be a far greater sin than loving another person could ever be.

If you are so ardent about the Bible, you should at least read it. You are repeating a lie about what the Bible says. Here is the real reason Sodom was destroyed:
Ezekiel 16:48-50
Now this was the sin of your sister Sodom:
She and her daughters were arrogant, overfed and unconcerned;
they did not help the poor and needy.
You need to ask yourself now whether Mr. Bahati is engaged in helping the poor and needy in any was by his luxury shopping. If you want to live your life by the Bible, you might also occasionally consider reading what JESUS said. He is also in the Bible.

Please look again at the story of Sodom and Gomorrah: the cities were destroyed not because of homosexuality, but because of inhospitality. When the three angels came to Sodom, only Lot would give them shelter, while the rest of the town wanted to dispel them. Lot’s hospitality is the reason that he and his family were allowed to escape. This story is a lesson in hospitality.
That Sodom was destroyed for the homosexuals there is logically incoherent, because there were also heterosexuals in Sodom. If you have a puppy and a kitten, and God destroys your home, you cannot say that it is because God hates kittens: he may also hate puppies, or he may have destroyed your home because you did not welcome his angels.

@WmFR and Jennifer – Thank goodness there are people who are not gullible in this world and who can help people in Uganda see how horribly they are manipulated and being used by THe Christian Missionaries who are promoting this nonsense. I would like to see the REAL Christians go to Uganda not the phonies who are bleeding the people by allowing the real needs to go unnoticed by taking away from the focus of the ills in Uganda- Just for their own hatefull agenda.
