Jack and Linda Klenk Host Anti-Homosexual David Bahati – Radical Hospitality

MELANIE NATHAN Dec 09-2010 Gay & Lesbian (LGBTQI) a ctivists call off protests scheduled for Friday at the home of the couple who Hosted David Bahati- of Kill the Gays infamy.

David Bahati came to the USA under suspicious circumstances; he knew he would not be allowed into the Conference; yet he still came.  The Ugandan Member of Parliament, David Bahati, is the author of the anti-Homosexuality Bill, set for passage in the Ugandan Parliament early next year; that is if Bahati is re-elected in February. LGR found out that Bahati was a guest at the home of Jack and Linda Klenk   in Lorton, Northern Virginia,  (Fairfax County.)

Mr. Klenk and his wife, Linda Sowter Klenk, ( FB – “ God is in control . . . ALWAYS” ) hosted anti-homosexual Mr. Bahati on his unlawful visit to the USA. This was also announced on Maddow at the time of publishing this piece. (http://www.facebook.com/people/Jack-Klenk/100000135357809#!/profile.php?id=1220767085)

What Bahati did not realize, nor his handler Klenk, was that Bahati was being snooped by Maddow. Her questions were carefully crafted to expose Bahati, the Fellowship, the Klenks and Truro Church. Maddow succeeded and Bahati, who thought he was making the case for his Anti – homosexual Bill, did little more than reveal some stratling information.

Nobody wanted to meet with Bahati- his efforts to promote his agenda failed.   In fact he spent most of his last day on US soil, shopping.

He revealed prime information,  publicly on TV and offered to provide Rachel Maddow the evidence that he asserts underlies the basis for the kill gays bill.   On the Maddow show Bahati asserted  that gays were recruiting children in Uganda; into homosexuality! There is no way Bahati can deliver such evidence because there is not such act in reality as “recruiting into homosexuality.” It is simply a non-practice it does not exists other than as a perplexing myth created to distract Ugandans from the real problems facing their country.

Bahati accomplished absolutely nothing on his trip to the USA, except to get the Klenks into unwanted exposure. All said and done his trip was a disaster for one person only and that person was David Bahati.

Jack Klenk is a retired government career official – and we are left stunned that he would host a person who is proposing a Bill that would harm a large portion of a country’s community, in flagrant disregard for the Declaration of Human Rights.

How many gay and lesbian people do you think are employed by the department of Education in the USA? Well it could be as many as 1000 to 5000 – or at least that is what the Linked IN Page of retired director Jack Klenk asserts during his tenure. How many of those people do you think may have been gay or lesbian (LGBTQI) at the time Mr. Klenk was Director in the Office of Non-Public Education at U.S. Department of Education? Imagine how they must be feeling to hear that the retired Director hosted the most hated man in all of the gay world.

This morning at 9.00 am a group of GetEQUAL and other activists had planned to show up with picket signs to the home of the Klenks. The protest was called off when activists found out that Bahati had been booted out of the USA and Thursday afternoon State Department officials ordered him to leave the USA immediately, cutting his trip short.

The Klenk’s are actively involved in the Truro Church, whose tag line ironically includes “Radical Hospitality. ” Noting from the FaceBook pages of the Klenks, it is clear that they have a connection to Uganda. Upon further investigation it is clear that the Church has been involved in the support of missionaries to Uganda.

On the Rachel Maddow show , Thursday (taped day before) Bahati admitted his connection to the “FELLOWSHIP ” otherwise known as THE FAMILY,” the C Street connection that has been exposed as a secret c of sorts, housing members of Congress and covering up a sex scandal.

The Fellowship is a secretive network that supports international politicians like Bahati. It is difficult to divorce ‘The Fellowship’ and its membership from the anti homosexual Bill which Bahati has admitted is the start of a plan to rid the world of all homosexuals. Now Mr. Bahati has stated on Maddow that the Anti-Homosexual Bil “is the Fellowship.” Bahati associated the Fellowship in Uganda directly with the fellowship in D.C.

When asked if Klenk was also a member of the society, Bahati was reluctant to answer. It was interesting to note how taken a back the Ugandan was when faced with the unexpected confrontation.

- Now its time for Mr. Klenk to come forward and inform the LGBT community if he shares Bahati’s views. The Big Question is if Truro Church is involved with the Fellowship – the group that gave birth, according to Bahati , to what became known as The Kill the Gay Bill.

Rachel Maddow could all but contain herself, stating that this was the weirdest interview she ever did. Rachel ended the conversation wishing Bahati luck and mentioning that he may land up in front of an International Tribunal for crimes against Humanity…

When questioned about his view of the anti-homosexual Bill and guest Bahati, Jack Klenk told Jeff Sharlet, author of “THE FAMILY, ” that Bahati comes from a “loving place and that the punishments for gays in the Bill are ‘loving.’ ” Klenk seemed to think that Bahati’s position was mainstream.

Kathryn – I too don’t get what being a transwoman and lesbian has to do with your post. Thanks for acknowledging the content. LGR is a labor of love for me and all involved. I spend hours per day, unpaid, on the background research, sourcing and writing. for me its a platform for my activism, Its popularity and visibility belies its mere 2 years, the unpaid writers and its lack of “monetization” (made up word – of course). That said we are all our own editors and sometimes I suck at it. Firstly my typing is really bad. My fingers go all over the place and its a nightmare; secondly this article was put up in the most difficult of surrounding circumstances and thirdly I have terrible eyesight so even spell checks tend to pass me by. How about you sending a big donation to the site so we can get some paid editors and better software here. We would love that.

Rachel’s utter disassembling of David Bahati was fantastic. She destroyed his argument systematically, and exposed him for the fraud he and his supporters him are. Rachel struck a massive blow for the human rights movement, and hopefully, this kind of media exposure will end up tearing that bill apart one piece at a time.

In the event that the Ugandan government fails to reject this insidious legislation, something still up for debate, I would hope that the US government and its allies move swiftly to condemn and isolate Uganda. Should Uganda fail to rebuke the law and remove it from their books, I would suggest treating Uganda as a criminal nation, and recommend that our country and its allies open their doors to the subjects of the bill as political refugees.

This was a fantastic back story to Rachel’s excellent journalism, and it sheds more light on the people in our own country and government who still think this way. I, for one, am terrified that there are groups out there so isolated from reality that they can’t see their way to the light pouring in their wide open windows. If Mr. Klenk thinks that this is a mainstream view, you have to wonder what else he believes.

I would strongly recommend, however, that this site acquire an editor. Common typographical errors that would be caught by the worst spell check software would resolve half the problems in this article.

The author of this post is a trans woman, and a lesbian.

      Kathryn

I am not sure what your being a transwoman and a lesbian has to do with the post. Thank you for sharing though.

As for getting an editor- I really, really, really wish some of the professional sites would get one. I hate having to wade through three pages of horrendous grammar and spelling.

    GOOD MORNING UGANDA

By the way Dear – Ugandan Readers – we love the people of Uganda – I have two beautiful children and I am a lesbian – I will never hurt my children or yours. American society accepts me, its only the fringe like the Fellowship that Bahati Belongs to that put out false information about people like me. None of it is true. Bahati spent the entire day shopping in the most expensive part of DC USA today. Whose money is he using. Do not vote for BAHATI he is spending your money on luxury in the USA. If the anti homosexual bill passes, I expect Uganda will be isolated by the International community and it will loose all friends. Because Bahati says that Gay people have no human rights. That is against the International Declaration of Human Rights.
