Lady Gaga Tweets Approval of ‘Don’t Ask Don’t Tell’ Repeal

Lady Gaga made it known that the repeal of ‘Don’t Ask Don’t Tell’ was a cause near and dear to her heart. She went to rallies and spoke out in favor of LGBT rights, using her celebrity for a good cause. When the Senate voted to repeal DADT, Lady Gaga tweeted:

“Can’t hold back the tears+pride. We did it!i Our voice was heard + today the Senate REPEALED DADT. A triumph for equality after 17 YEARS. 

Today I am so proud to be American. I wish I was home so I could throw a Parade. We are on the way … to full equal[ity].”

I hope she’s right!
