UGANDA ELECTION – Screams of Murder Friend Runs into Hiding Unable to Vote

Yoweri Kaguta Museveni.

Is this another IDI?

Melanie Nathan- Feb 17-2011-

This is the Cry from Uganda as NY TIMES calls the advance win for Yoweri Museveni and his political party of thugs, who assured the world of a free and fair election.  This is the cry from Uganda as  President Obama,  Sec. Clinton, Senators Barbara Boxer and Dianne Feinstein, both co-sponsor the LRA Disarmament Act, which keeps empowering Museveni.

My friend in Uganda just sent this to me minutes ago. I hear his cry and pain and the sheer terror in his words – here is the message:-

“They killed him! They are murderers and i survived narrowly. I’ve just got news moments ago that my friend-brother, best friend i had, stayed in their home sharing the same bed and food and clothes and everything for 5 years has been got slaughtered in his house ! No sign of a fight, no blood spilt over the house, he was got lying covered in bed with his throat slit and knife wounds in the cheecks and chert! His phone taken and a new phone put beside him with a text reading “this is the change u’ve been waiting for”…i’ve called my neigbour and he’s told me they heard footsteps outside at night and my padlock made a sound, they havent comeout yet for fear and are still waiting fór the police to come. Now, yesterday i traveled to the village where i registered to vote and i think i dodged these goons narrowly and in a few minutes time i will be ridden to a distant village where my pastor comes from for refuge in case these guys try to follow me; his father is an NRM mobilizer and he’s assured me i will be safe and no one will suspect, this means i will have to forego by right to vote and instead hide like a criminal in my own country!

I’m still dazed by his ‘ death! A young man who just married a year ago and has left a young son orphaned!

Pray for uganda guys, that’s the best you can do for us now, will keep u posted. Your hurting friend, BW.”

“Ugandans start voting in a couple of hours; the New York Times has declared Museveni the winner and said there’ll be no repeat of  Egypt before the 140,000 dead people and 5000 people over 110 years old get to vote.  No one expects this to be free and fair; the only question is how people respond.   (Anne Garrison, Journalist)
