Malicious destruction of property or not, Chris Brown might be on his way back to Good Morning America. During an interview with Gayle King, Robin Roberts was questioned on how she felt the interview had gone. Roberts admitted that she didn’t feel that the interview went that well, yet countered “But by no means did I feel that it didn’t go so well for him to react as he did.

She then explained, “I wasn’t trying to go back down memory lane and rehash every detail….” Yet, that thought seemed to be lost on Brown, that come to find out knew about the interview questions prior to being asked them on air. Yet, that didn’t stop him from flying into a rage as he took to smashing a window in his dressing room after the interview.

Despite all that, Roberts has extended an invitation to have him back on. Brown is reportedly seriously considering reappearing.

Which brings up the question on why Brown is even given a second chance? After all, he had plenty of time to display himself in positive light during the Tuesday morning interview – instead he decided to sulk and cry foul, like the spoiled musician that he is.

Why give him another shot? So he can put his best “scripted” face forward in order to prove that his rehabilitation really did work and that he just had a “moment” of weakness which he is sorry about. Even thought it would be a crock used to gain more sympathy because in all honesty, if Brown were truly repentant, he would have taken the initiative during the first interview to discuss what he learned and how he grew from it.

Instead he took the road most familiar to him, displaying that destructiveness is an intrinsic part of his DNA. GMA, by allowing him a “do-over” is letting the world know that it is okay to be blatantly disrespectful as long as you are willing to admit how “sorry” you are at the end of it. TV shows do need ratings but this is ridiculous.

Breezy, please – sell your lies to your fans. Not to the rest of us.
