It was a year ago that LGR writer Isabella James introduced us to Courtney E. Talbot. You can read her story here. News came down that Ms Talbot passed away on 30 May this year, that would be yesterday, after a long battle with leukemia. Ms Talbot was surrounded by her family and friends when she passed away in Oceanport, NJ. She was a graduate of Red Bank Catholic and Monmouth University. She is survived by her parents, her partner Kristin Grossano, and her eight siblings as well as her numerous extended family. She will be laid to rest on 3 June.
The family has asked that in lieu of flowers, donations be made to The Leukimia and Lymphoma Society in Courtney’s memory.
According to her obituary at her site:
“Courtney had asked that we not wear black to the services, and instead wear a color to represent all of the beauty in the world and to celebrate her life. Should you wish to still wear black, please consider adding a hint of color to your wardrobe in honor of Courtney. Thank you.”
