Tracy Morgan: Anti-Gay ‘Joke’ “A Big Misunderstanding”

Tracy Morgan by David Shankbone

Back in June, 30 Rock star Tracy Morgan was slammed rather hard for making what sounded like some very anti-gay remarks during a stand-up gig in Nashville. He went so far as to say that he would stab his son to death if he were gay. Morgan got hit pretty hard, including by his coworkers. Back in June he stated “I want to apologize to my fans and the gay & lesbian community for my choice of words at my recent stand-up act in Nashville… this clearly went too far and was not funny in any context. I want to apologize to my friends, my family and my fans, and everyone in every community who was offended… From the bottom of my heart… I apologize.”

Well, now he is saying on Letterman that it was “a big misunderstanding.”

It appears that, since Morgan no longer feels like the eyes are watching him any more, he can get away with reversing course. Of course, he forgets that the LGBT Blogosphere have long memories. Well, Morgan may want to not forget that.

It has come to the point where we can say that Morgan has learned next to nothing about what he did wrong and the damage that he did to the minds of many young lesbians and gays out there.
