Brewer Smacked Down By State Supreme Court

 

When Arizona Governor Jan Brewer didn’t like the Congressional districts created by the non-partisan commission mandated by the state constitution, she illegally fired them.  The Arizona State Supreme Court on Thursday afternoon, their time, 8:30 Eastern time, ruled that Governor Brewer was absolutely, categorically, totally, dead wrong and reinstated the Commission and their completely fair redistricting map. 

Score another one for the rule of law over the power grabs of the Republican Party.  Arizona is one state where they won’t be able to manipulate the vote to assure their majority.
