It seems that God has decided to weigh in on the whole It Gets Better thing…ok, so this is actually from Simon & Schuster and has Maggie and Brian’s knickers in a twist, but still, it is not as if they really know the value of humor.

You know, the whole Adam and Eve thing…if you think about it, Eve was created from the rib of Adam, so not only are we talking incest here, but Eve is a trans woman who has the same DNA as Adam…which means she has a ‘Y’ chromosome….so, um, was Eve first named Steve?

Well, NOM is furious. Thanks to Towleroad, we know they said:

We guess Simon & Schuster thinks this is smart marketing — mocking Christian pastors who preach the bible’s teaching on sexuality (warning: many folks will find this deeply offensive).

Simon & Schuster is probably right about the marketing thing. As New Civil Rights Movement points out, “It Getteth Better” has about 132,000 Google matches. (By my own count, it’s 129,000. In any case, there’s a lot of linking going on.)

Well, I was not upset or offended. Apparently, NOM has no sense of humor. Then again, we already know that.
