Oh Adam…yes, Adam Lambert spent several hours in a Finnish jail after he was arrested and charged with assault following a fight with Sauli Koskinen, his Finnish boyfriend. Petri Juvonen, who is leading the investigation, informed reporters that Adam and Sauli were both arrested at around 4am outside the DTM or Don’t Tell Mama gay club in Helsinki, Finland. Both men were questioned in connection to what could be a total of four possible charges of assault. They were released as soon as they are finished being interrogated.
By Thursday morning, Jovonen had completed his interrogation and both Adam and Sauli were released. Sauli wrote, in Finnish, that “Celebrities are people too and fame is not easy. Love is not always easy either, but it’s forever.” He later wrote that his hangover was gone now, and that “Paparazzi, police stations have back doors, too, go away already.” Adam tweeted “Jetlag+Vodka=blackout. Us÷blackout=irrational confusion. jail+guilt+press=lesson learned.Sauli+Adam+hangover burgers= laughing bout it.
”
The dispute apparently started in one of the club’s back rooms. Apparently, the two of them were then thrown out of the club, but continued to fight in the street.
Sofia Ruusila, an ex-Miss Helskini, had been celebrating with Adam and Sauli and informed Finnish entertainment reporters that she had tried to intervene, but Adam accidentally hit her.
The two arrived in Finland on 19 December in order to celebrate Christmas in Finland.
