Lady Gaga has control of her Twitter account once again. It is not uncommon for Twitter accounts to get hacked, but in this case, the hacking may not have been quite so harmless. Gaga’s 17 million followers got a message posted online on Monday that directed the little monsters to a website with the promise of free Apple products.
The tweet stated “Monsters, I’m giving away FREE iPad2′s to each one of you in the spirit of the holidays :)”.
Two more messages like that went up shortly there after, but were caught by one of Gaga’s reps, and they were promptly removed. Lady Gaga has since changed her login details so that she is not attacked further. By afternoon, Lady Gaga had written “Phew. The hacking is over! And just in time, I’m on my way to Japan! So excited to spend Xmastime with my TokyoMonsters!”
