Lady Gaga Visits White House On Personal Mission
Posted by: Bridgette P. LaVictoire on December 9, 2011.
Lady Gaga visited the White House to discuss the plans for her anti-bullying campaign. The superstar has been a vocal supporter of LGBT rights, and has been supporting measures to put an end to bullying of late. She visited Valerie Jarrett who said that the story she heard was very moving.
Jarrett stated that “Lady Gaga has described this cause as a personal one – she has said that as a child, she was often picked on for being different. I am deeply moved by the way she has used her story, and her success, to inspire young people, and shine the spotlight on important issues.”
