SC Religious Leaders- Santorum Supporters Stuffed Ballots, Rigged Vote

Doctor Rachel Maddow had a rather interesting article last night regarding the fact that anointing Rick Santorum as the unified Religious Right anti-Romney candidate. There is a big battle between the Catholics and the Protestants over the possibility that they could come together and present a unified front.

Simply put…unity my ass.

The unity endorsement in South Carolina appears to have been split between the Catholics, who favor Santorum, and the Protestants who support Gingrich. Dr. Maddow did miss the why of this split. While both Santorum and Gingrich are currently Catholics, Santorum has been a life-long Catholic while Gingrich is a recent convert to Catholicism. He originally was Southern Baptist.
