Vermont has gone to Romney, but it is not looking like he has won it clearly. Mitt Romney is also projected to win Massachusetts, and Rick Santorum has likely grabbed Tennessee. The win in Vermont is not exactly one of the biggest for Romney, and will likely never cross the 50% mark. Ron Paul took second.
Overall, the vote looks very inconclusive. Even if Romney wins Ohio, it is starting to look like that will be without a strong enough victory in order to end the Republican primary. It is possible that there will even be a surge out of Newt Gingirch as the contests move into the South.
By and large, this is shaping up to be a bloodbath with Republicans lacking the charm of President Barack Obama and far more bitterness and nastiness than was common between Obama and Secretary of State Hilary Clinton during the 2008 Democratic Primary. The top four Republicans- namely Paul, Romney, Gingrich and Santorum- have been doing everything that they can to tear into each other and Rush Limbaugh’s little debacle with Sandra Fluke is not helping things.
