Today is May 4th, but to a lot of Star Wars fans it is the unofficial holiday for everything Star Wars.

I was lucky enough to be born at the beginning of this cultural phenom. I spent my first Halloween dressed as a Star Wars character and I can’t wait for my son to dress as his first (I hope its going to be Chewie!) I have grown up in a family of geeks; both Star Trek & Star Wars (we see no reason to argue about the greatness of both). I have many friends that have also grown up with the franchise in their lives. Normally we geeks celebrate by having a movie marathon of the originals (Cosplay optional!), but to celebrate this geek holiday Amazon.com is giving their customers Star Wars merchandise in their little gold boxes.
