When Caiden Cowger was confronted with the question “Why should your religion rule over other religious beliefs” his only response was to say “Because I know my religion is right.” This is a boy who believes that homosexuality is caused by demonic possession, and has claimed that one sign of being possessed by demons is talking in an effeminate voice.
Well, the reach of this 14-year-old Glenn Beck clone has run into a slight problem. Spreaker, which is a free audio platform for radio shows, pulled the Caiden Cowger Program. The page that once held it now reads “Spreaker has deleted this show due to offensive contents.”
The twice-weekly show saw Cowger declare being lesbian or gay was a “perverted belief, it’s immoral and not natural,” and he recently noted that he was no longer friends with kids where are gay noting that “They were not homosexuals [then]…they just decided all of a sudden, ‘I think I’m going to be gay.’. . .I’m going to tell you this, guys: President Obama…Vice President Biden…is making kids gay!”
Spreaker CEO Francesco Baschieri stated that “While we not only support free speech, we help it find its way to more people faster and easier with our service that is the audio equivalent of YouTube, but like them, we cannot and will not condone hate speech. Consequently, we have pulled down audio content from Caiden Cowgar, whose recent gay-bashing clearly crosses the line from free — to hate — speech.”
Cowgar has claimed to have received death threats, and that his YouTube account was hacked and had to be shut down; however, he has not come forth with anything proving the death threats like, say, a police report and it is being reported that YouTube pulled Cowger’s video due to inappropriate content.
The Huffington Post noted that:
Rhonda Mangus, the mother of bullied gay teen Michael Mangus, led the charge to remove Cowger’s program from Spreaker. Under the Terms of Service on Spreaker’s website, the site says user submissions to the site must not be “unlawful, defamatory, libellous, slanderous, threatening, pornographic, obscene, vulgar, harassing, harmful, hateful, abusive, racially or ethnically offensive or is otherwise inappropriate.”
