Facebook Removes Stonewall Image from Support Marriage Equality in Ohio’s Page

Removed by Facebook

Yesterday was the 43rd anniversary of The Stonewall Riots. Many people on Facebook in support of gay rights posted the same image that I did in my article about it. Its a picture of a neon sign outside the Stonewall Inn with a rainbow, words and a date. Thats it. —No swearing, no pornographic imagery, no bigotry, nothing offensive.

Today I was shocked to find a post from the Support Marriage Equality in Ohio Facebook page stating that their posting of the image yesterday had been removed for violating their “Statement of Rights and Responsibilities”.

*blink, blink*

I’m curious to know exactly what rights and responsibilities Facebook thought they were violating.
