Monsignor William J. Lynn will stay in jail until he is sentenced. Lynn was convicted of child endangerment. Still, all was not lost for Lynn. Common Pleas Court Judge M. Teresa Sarmina moved his sentencing hearing up by three weeks.
It took ten minutes of discussion for Judge Sarmina to side with the prosecutors who said that Lynn was a flight risk. The former secretary for clergy in the Archdiocese of Philadelphia is the first Catholic Church supervisor to be convicted for enabling pedophiles inside the Church. His sentencing will occur on 24 July.
