James Holmes

James Eagan Holmes made his first appearance in court. The man accused of killing 12 and wounding 58 in an Aurora, CO move theater last Friday appeared dazed, often closing his eyes. His hair was, as per reports, dyed bright orange. Holmes allegedly called himself The Joker after his alleged rampage, but it should be noted that The Joker has green hair in his depictions.

Holmes is being ordered held on charges stemming from the 20 July shooting at a midnight screening of “The Dark Knight Rises”. He will be formally charged on 30 July. He potentially faces the death penalty if convicted. Authorities have said the Holmes is not cooperating and refuses to answer questions relating to the shooting.

He is being held without bond.
