The Siblings Wachowski are best known for the Matrix series, and now, the Wachowski has a new movie coming out called “Cloud Atlas”. However, it is not the movie that is causing the most interest for many people right now, but rather the fact that Lana Wachowski has finally come out as transsexual.

Transsexuals often face many problems and a lot of them lose their families, but not Lana. In an interview with Entertainment Weekly, Andy and Lana sat down and answered some questions including this one:

Andy and Lana, this is the first time you’ve worked together as Andy and Lana instead of Andy and Larry. Was there any difference for you?

ANDY WACHOWSKI: We’re brother and sister. I mean, it’s different in the way people perceive it. But the set is our set, and we run it like we always run it.

LANA WACHOWSKI: Andy has always been my best friend in the world, and we just have a good time when we’re hanging out making things up. That’s always been the same.

This is wonderful to read, and is testament to a great and accepting sibling.

The movie itself was adapted for the screen by Lana and will star Tom Hanks, Halle Berry and Hugh Grant. The novel the movie is based off of was written by German author Tom Tykwer. He assisted the Wachowskis in adapting and shooting the film.
