This just in- Water is actually dry, you are poor if you have a lot of money, and wallowing in toxic sludge is actually healthy. Oh yes, and opposing marriage rights for LGBT Americans is not anti-gay. Well, the last one is what Ann Coulter said on Sunday about Chick-fil-A’s President Dan Cathy’s recent statements regarding marriage.
On ABC’s This Week, Coulter stated that the comments made by Cathy weren’t “an anti-gay thing.” She went on to say “He said, look, all the founders of this company are married to our first wives. It’s genuinely a pro-marriage position to oppose gay marriage.”
Like many Conservative thought processes, this is inaccurate. What has been shown is that being “pro-marriage” actually hurts marriage more as a whole than being pro-marriage equality. Statistics out of Quebec have shown that the Catholic Church’s opposition to divorce, same-sex marriage, and contraception has lead to a decline in the number of marriages occurring. The same holds true for many predominantly Catholic nations.
Cathy’s positions are based on his interpretation of the Bible and his putting words in God’s mouth. Cathy stated that “We’re inviting God’s judgment on our nation when we shake our fist at him and say we know better than you as to what constitutes a marriage.”
Coulter also rejected the polling that has been going on with regards to marriage equality. She also stated “When you see crowds like that coming out [to support Chick-fil-A], no, I’m sorry, I don’t believe the polls on gay marriage. Let us vote. Those polls I believe, and it makes me suspicious at the polls on the presidential election.”
And one wonders why the Texas GOP wanted to ban critical thinking skills.
Chick-fil-A has roughly 1614 franchises across the nation. That would be about 32 per state. Starbucks, conversely, has 12,848 stores across the US or about 257 stores per state. Chick-fil-A is, primarily, located in the South, and in largely anti-LGBT states. For instance, there are no stores in Vermont, Maine, Connecticut, Rhode Island or New York. There are two in Massachusetts. There is one in New Hampshire. The largest concentration of stores are in Georgia, Florida, South Carolina, North Carolina, and Virginia.
Coulter might want to also consider those facts when making her statements. Yeah, those states are going to turn out in droves to support anything anti-gay. As for the rest- that’s the usual run of statements, but forget the fact that the GOP is busy making sure people cannot vote if they hold a different ideology than Republicans.
Coulter did not marry her long time boyfriend until it became an embarrassment for her to oppose same-sex marriage and not be married herself.

Regarding Ann Coulter…PLEASE! This woman(?) has been speaking with forked tongue for years. Everytime she opens her mouth it causes controversy. She almost never goes with facts, she gives her opinions.
Please stop encouragung this foolish woman(?). If people stopped printing her shock values, she might implode and go away.
