Anti-Gay MD Politician Don Dwyer Drunkenly Hits Boat Full of Children

Anti-gay Maryland lawmaker Don H. Dwyer Jr admitted today to drinking while operating his boat when it struck a smaller vessel carrying five children and two adults. Dwyer’s boat was going fast enough that it caused enough damage to sink. Four of the children were injured in the accident with one, a five-year old girl, being rushed by helicopter to Johns Hopkins Children’s Center in Baltimore.

Dwyer admitted to having a blood alcohol level that was twice the legal limit.

Dwyer told the press later that
“It is true that I was drinking while operating my boat. No one, no one, should be drinking and operating a motor vehicle or powerboat. I deeply regret my actions, and I ask for forgiveness from the public. My heart and prayers go out to the family that was involved in the accident, and I pray for them to have a speedy recovery.”

Dwyer has, in the past, stated that gays are a threat to children and that legalizing same-sex marriage would lead to homosexuality being taught in schools. Dwyer has also tried to ban same-sex marriage in Maryland, and sought to get rid of any pro-equality politicians out there.

Ironically, Dwyer pushed for a ballot measure to strip lawmakers of their office if they are found to have committed a serious crime. It goes before the voters in November, and if successful, could see Dwyer out of office due to having committed a potential felony.

Drinking and driving is condoned in Maryland; across the state actually. So, no, many drunken potential murderers are allowed to walk free still able to drink and drive until trial and beyond.

Funny how he asked for forgiveness…lol…NOT.
Now, let’s see if emmett bigot burns’ dirt will be outed….and we will have 2 bigots down!!!

Shouldn’t he be in jail right now instead of “Asking for the public’s forgiveness”? Or does the laws on drinking and operating a vehicle, especially in an accident with injuries, not apply to politicians?
