*shakes head in disbelief*
Being a rather open-minded individual that I am, I grew up being very empathic towards the trials that my friends went through growing up, like being bullied for being gay/non-white/over-weight/short/non-Christian/etc. I’m not used to being treated this way because, well, I was born (mostly) white, over-weight, tall, and baptized Roman Catholic.
I now know a fear they have felt being persecuted for who they are.
eBay.com has announced that as of September they will forbid the “sale of divination services (including tarot readings), spells, tutoring services, and potions”. The reason for this stupidity, …according to eBay, is to “build confidence in the marketplace for both buyers and sellers.”
WHAT?!?? I just….I…ARG!
*shakes head* I don’t understand it. This is persecution of a religion! Why would eBay suddenly decide after years of being okay with it, to ban religious services and supplies? When do they start banning the sale of crosses? or WWJD bracelets? or even Star Trek items because they decide that it is silly or they want to make people feel more comfy with their shopping experiences online? Why would they ban a chunk of their buyer/seller profits? It just doesn’t make any sense.
Why would eBay forbid the sale of services/things to people who have the power to influence? Stupid, stupid, stupid…eBay, your Karma will get you for this, if not something sooner. If there is one thing I grew up knowing about my personal heritage…you don’t piss off a witch. EVER.
