Hunter Valentine Of The Real L Word Gearing Up For New Album

The band Hunter Valentine is gearing up for the release of their album “Collide and Conquer”. The band which made their name on the third season of The Real L Word is releasing their new full-length album on Megaforce Record, which is distributed in the United States by Sony Music Entertainment/RED Division. Also on Megaforce are Anthrax, Cyndi Lauper, Overkill, Living Colour and Blue October among others.

Kiyomi McCloskey (lead vocals/guitarist), Laura Petracca (drummer), Veronica “Vero” Sanchez (bassist) and Somer Bingham (keyboardist/guitarist) teamed up with producer Greig Nori of Treble Charger, who has worked with Sum 41 and Iggy Pop, to record their highly-anticipated third album “Collide and Conquer”,
dropping October 23.

Showing no sign of slowing down, the band has been doing what they know best: promoting their music through heavy touring schedule across the US and Canada, and readying to release a brand new single. Throughout the summer all the way into fall, Hunter Valentine is headlining the “Collide and Conquer” Tour in support of their new album of the same name. From October 1 and beyond the ladies will be joined by Los Angeles based Queen Caveat as the opening act. The nationwide trek kicked off on July 25 in Asbury Park, New Jersey and wraps in North Reading, MA November 18.

First formed in 2004 by best friends Kiyomi McCloskey and Laura Petracca, the Toronto band, currently residing in Brooklyn, NY, has since garnered legions of fans with a distinctively unique and intense sound –bold, brazen and gritty.

On the small screen, the in –your-face foursome continues to bring their rock’n roll attitude, East Coast edginess, and absolutely unmistakable swag to the third installment of Showtime’s top-performing unscripted show in prime time (“The Real L Word”). Week after week the band delivers something unique to the table, providing an exclusive up close and personal look at the behind the scenes of a rock n roll lifestyle and what it means to be a Valentine.

While season 3 is scheduled to wrap on August 30, the punk infused all-girl rock band has much to look forward to.

Hunter Valentine is about to invade our airwaves and iPods. They are poised to conquer the world as fans, old and new, continue to turn out and tune in to see them play … live and in “reality”.
